Hungarian cake artist won the Oscar of confectionery industry

There is an exciting, barely known competition, the Oscar of cake industry. One of the biggest confectioners' magazines, Cake Masters Magazine selects the best cake artist in 18 categories each year. Cake Masters Magazine itself is a celebrated leading publication in the sugarcraft and cake decorating industry that has always been about promoting talented individuals with skills in cake decorating and sugarcraft.

Cake Masters Magazine Awards are where artists are recognized and celebrated across certain categories in cake decorating and sugar artistry. Prizes are awarded in 18 categories by a 12-member professional jury and you have to be really good, just to be in the final. But guess what: a Hungarian confectioner, Anikó Vargáné Orbán won the Royal Icing category this year with a breathtaking work of art! Royal Icing category aims to recognize those who use royal icing to decorate their cakes in a traditional or modern way to create stunning master pieces, because a royal iced decoration is a true art form and is a beautiful way to decorate cake.
