Budapest’s dessert for 2020 is so mouth-watering

Budapest’s dessert for this year looks yummy. Even its name is appetizing and exciting: pear and caramel mousse cake, by Szamos Marcipán confectionary.

The Hungarian Chocolate and Sweets Association was searching for Budapest’s dessert for the third time this year, and the winner of their competition in 2020 is the pear and caramel mousse cake, made by the Szamos Marcipán confectionery.

Okay but what is this sweet treat like? Well, it is the combination of several textures. The base is a Sacher sponge cake, with a vanilla mousse on it, layered with cold pear puree and topped with caramel – Origo.hu writes.

Fans with a sweet tooth could taste it for the first time at this year’s Sweet Days (Édes napok) Budapest Chocolate and Sweets festival, held from 18 to 20 September in front of St. Stephen’s Basilica.
