Laza Tető - the coolest a rooftop terrace
Posted by Ágnes Taraszovics · Jul 21, 2015

Nights spent in rooftop bars belong to the real urban summer experience.

We have already written about our favorite rooftop bars in Budapest in the past, but we found a new place you definitely have to know. This is Laza Tető, the summer pavement place in the roof garden of Westend shopping mall. Yes, the fact that it’s on the top of a shopping mall does not necessarily mean anything good, but Laza Tető is a surprisingly pleasant place (and by the way the whole the roof garden is).

So it worth to get through the teenagers strolling during the summer holidays. The place's atmosphere is just like its name: chilled. Relaxed, youthful design with the same sentiment and the same variety of beverages. Colorful umbrellas and colorful deck chairs are waiting for us, and the prices are very friendly as well. A pint of beer costs 290 HUF, such as an espresso and mineral water. The brandy is, for example 690 HUF.

Feel free to walk the terrace around: we can see far away from the green, shady garden. So although Laza is apparently not a super exclusive, top-class, snobby place (this is not a problem at all!), gives a great level of summer rooftop feeling. So if you’re planning to try some rooftop bars during your stay in Budapest, Laza Tető definitely has to be on the list.
