Posted by Budnews · May 1, 2017

Culinary revolution conquers the Buda-side of the city.

If you’ve ever heard of Hunyadi Home Bistro than you only have to know: the same staff has new place on the Buda side of the city. Hunyadi Gastro is the love child of a pub and a BBQ place and they have way more dishes than an average bistro. If the name doesn’t sound familiar, keep on reading.

Buda side has much less bistros and new-wave restaurant than Pest does, so every new pace matters a lot. Hunyadi’s story started in 2015 with a brasserie, and although they had beer nuts from the beginning, a more serious kitchen was missing. But the turning point came when owners realised Buda side desperately needs a decent BBQ place with affordable prices and exciting dishes. The rest, as they say, is history.

That’s how one of the newest places of the city, Hunyadi Gastro born near Széll Kálmán Square. It’s basically a BBQ bistro, but that doesn’t cover the supply perfectly. Their offer mainly consists of BBQ meals that perfectly matches with beer. They use smoke for everything: from beetroot soup to eggplant cream. Hunyadi also has daily menu and dishes like Goulash soup, pulled beef sandwich and homemade burgers, so even if you’re not really into the “classic” barbecue meals, you will find what you love.
