First DIY restaurant of the country has opened

You can make your own dinner at Budapest Makery.

Strange concept: instead of staying home and cooking, now you have the opportunity to go out for a dinner… and cooking. We’re pretty sure that such thing doesn’t exist elsewhere in the world, only here in Budapest. But what’s the point here? Why is this so good? Well, thanks to the gastronomic revolution, more and more people started to explore their kitchen and its opportunities, but maybe they don’t have everything needed for a carefree experimentation. Budapest Makery is for them and for everyone who doesn’t have all the ingredients at home, or too lazy to wash the dishes or want to experience something new.

Budapest Makery is the first restaurant, where guests can prepare themselves what will be served. Of course, immediately raises the question: why you cannot do it all at home. The method is as follows: the menu of the DIY restaurant changes weekly and there are recipes, which are relatively easy to be prepared. We arrive, we select the appealing dish than we get all the ingredients on wooden plates. Everything is prepared: the onion is cut into cubes, the meat into strips, etc. You got the spices and a tablet: this shows the video of the preparation of the selected dish. So there is no recipe, no detailed description, we learn from videos. You can prepare your meal in the back of the restaurant on induction cooker, and if you’re ready, there’s nothing left only to consume your artwork. Of course, the cleaning is not our business either, so we got only the best part of cooking. We’re simply here to create.
