Wes Anderson’s film won the Best Motion Picture for Comedy at this year’s Golden Globe gala. The production wasn’t filmed in the Hungarian capital, but it undoubtedly makes the world talk more about Budapest.

Golden Globe gala was organized on 11 January this year, and among the winners, we can find Wes Anderson’s film, TheGrand Budapest Hotel, too. The production was honoured in the category Best Motion Picture for Comedy.

It was filmed with movie stars like Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Edward Norton, Jude Law, Owen Wilson or Bill Murray, and although there were plans that the shooting of the movie will be somewhere in Budapest, at the end, it was filmed mostly in Germany.

The comedy follows the adventures of Gustave H, a legendary concierge at a famous hotel from the fictional Republic of Zubrowka between the first and second World Wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend. They get involved in artifact-robbery, meanwhile the fortune of a family is endangered, too. The investigation becomes more and more eventful, and enchants the guests of the hotel, as well.
