Hungarian perfumer Viktória Minya earlier created the first Hungarian perfume line called Hedonist. After the huge success, she decided to come up with another fragrance even more connected to the country – Eu de Hongrie was born.
Viktória Minya acquired the art of fragrance formulation in the cradle of modern perfumery, the beautiful French city of Grasse. Having worked for various perfume houses she finally decided to embrace her talents through the founding of her own company and fragrance line. For her creations she uses the best quality ingredients and original techniques. She currently lives and practices her art in her studio in Paris.

Viktória formulates her fragrances by following only her heart and emotions. As an independent perfumer, her creativity is not bound by any constraints. Nothing proves it better than her previous creations. The fragrance Hedonist is a powerful and provocative perfume. „Lush notes of jasmine and orange blossom absolute flirt with the dark intensity of rum and the world’s finest woods for a scent that is as captivating as it is unforgettable”. The line has two other products, Hedonist Iris and Hedonist Rose. They are presented within a beautifully designed bottle filled with Bohemian crystals sparkling in the fluid.

Eu de Hongrie is her next and latest creation. It only debuted in early November, but has already been placed on a list of high priority. According to the artist, the reason for its success is that many perfume enthusiasts are familiar with the story of Elizabeth of Hungary. The legend says that in the 1300’s, there was a lady who suffered from reumatism and gout. She asked an apothecary to create a kind of herbal tincture that finally made her look so young and beautiful that the Polish king married her. This rosemary-based tincture was the first perfume in history, well-known as Eau de la Reine de Hongrie (Queen of Hungary’s Water).

Eu de Hongrie is the modern version of Queen Elizabeth’s water. What makes it even „more Hungarian” and more unique is that it is inspired by the most noble of Hungarian dessert wines, the famous Tokaji Essence. „Delicate notes of honey and jasmine are crowned by smooth sandalwood to create a rich, enchanting fragrance”. The perfume is presented within a special bottle modeled by the Tokaji wines.
