We have always known that Sziget is one of the best music festivals in the world that offers a fantastic line-up but know they are also awarded for that – again.
Sziget Festival has already achieved a fantastic success story but this is still not the end. Lately, they were nominated in three categories at the 9th European Festival Awards, which was held on 17 January in Groningen and the Hungarian festival’s representatives didn’t come home with empty hands: they won the award of the best line-up in 2017.
Sziget, also known as the Island of Freedom, was already honoured with this award before. Furthermore, it has been chosen twice the ‘Best Major European Festival’ (this is the most important award at the gala) and last year, it has become the Artist’s Favourite Festival.
After winning the quite flattering award for the best line-up again, they have already given a glimpse of the artists arriving here in 2018: among others, Bastille, Parov Stellar, Kendrick Lamar, Kygo, Mumford and Sons and Zara Larsson will also perform in Sziget this summer.
