Airport bus 200E to operate all night?

New schedule and more available ticket machines in the city planned by BKK.

Since last summer, the cheapest, simplest and most popular travelling possibility between Budapest city centre and Liszt Ferenc International Airport is the bus 100E. A one-way ticket costs 900 HUF, which is much cheaper than calling a taxi and much more simple than changing to bus 200E. But what happens if we need a late night bus to/from the airport? Well, if plans of Centre for Budapest Transport (BKK) will become reality, we will have the possibility to choose bus 200E day and night.

They plan to run their 200E airport bus all day and all night, Index.hu reports. Concerning the modifications, the Centre for Transport initiated social reconciliation. According to BKK’s Friday announcement, they want to introduce a new schedule fit to the airline’s changes in their schedules at the end of March. They also want to place out more ticket machines in many locations in the city centre to make passengers buy their tickets even more easier.

Good to know:

At night, 200E airport buses will depart from Határ út metro station to Liszt Ferenc International Airport Terminal 2 and they return to Határ út. From there, passengers will have the opportunity to get to the city centre by changing to other night buses.

We hope that the connection between the city centre and the airport will be improved further – maybe in the future, we could also enjoy the advantages of a metro line to the airport.
