Party district turns into a huge cash-free zone – if the newest plan comes true

Tourism experts have come up with a surprising suggestion.

One of the main attractions of Budapest is its party district. No one could count how many bachelor party teams arrive during a single weekend, and it’s just one piece of this puzzle. The inner city is amazingly popular, it's not a question. But the operation and future of this inner part is a big question for several years, because this part of 7th district is impossible to live in. The newest idea of Budapest Tourism Roundtable does not solve the problem of noise or trash, but it is more than interesting. The professionals recommend developing a cash-free zone in the area.

The Association of Tourism Advisers would transform the area a groundbreaking, modern place, and the cashless payment method would perfectly fit into this concept. This means that all bars, ruin pubs, discos and other places would accept only a prepaid card, similar to the big festivals. The submitters of the proposal called attention to the fact that the use of digital devices across the globe extends beyond previous estimates, and tourism providers will be forced to adapt anyway. Researches showed: more than 75 percent of the teens and twenty-year-olds use their smartphone not only for orientation, but also for bookings and purchases, and they expect the service providers to adapt.
