Taschen, one of the most prominent fine arts publishers says there is a Hungarian girl among the world's best.
One of the most prominent fine arts publishers, Taschen releases a new book about the most talented illustrators of the world and we can't believe to our eyes: there is a young, Hungarian girl on the top 100 list. The 'Illustrator – 100 Best From Around The World' is edited by Julius Wiedemann and Steven Heller and presents a snapshot of “the new golden age of illustration,” rounding up 100 of today’s most talented artists across the urban, the colorful, and the figurative. And the Hungarian artist, Berta Valló is on the list.
Berta has just finished her studies at Central Saint Martins and started to work for Kristjana S Williams Studio in London. As she says, her work is created through an amalgamation of analogue and digital techniques, mainly exploring the notion of identity formation and female sexuality in relation to consumerist culture. Her primary focus is on character design and publication design, with a growing interest for branding and animation. We think we'll hear about her many times in the future!
