New record long tram arrived to Budapest
Posted by Mia Balogh · Aug 9, 2019

Five record-breaking long trams are going to arrive in Budapest, and 21 more from the shorter, 34 metres long vehicles.

Vg.hu calls these extremely long trams ‘monsters’ and well, maybe this is not an exaggeration. But one thing is true: another 56 metres long CAF tram arrived in our capital not long ago. The vehicle is scheduled to transport passengers from this autumn on Line 1.

Five 56 metres long trams will arrive to Budapest and 21 more from the shorter, 34 metres long vehicles.

The new type of tram can transport 345 passengers and has 81 seats. All of these have security camera system, air conditioning and all the vehicles are low-floored. These trams are also equipped with an energy-saving system and thanks to this all of these are environmentally friendly.
