Well, CNN made a listing about the best hotels bars of the world and guess what! A Hungarian bar is on the list! Yes, of course, it’s a subjective list, like any other similar lists, but if you see Kollázs, you will agree with Alia Akkam, the writer of this year’s top list.

Kollázs Brasserie & Bar is a contemporary brasserie in Budapest, overlooking the Chain Bridge and the Danube River. The Hungarian word for “collage” highlights creative combinations in all aspects of the dining experience: it’s vibrant and inspiring, yet casual and affordable.

The bar of Gresham Palace is a 1906 Art Nouveau masterpiece, originally built for the Gresham Life Assurance Company by Zsigmond Quittner and József Vágó. It retains gobs of Secessionist-style features, including Zsolnay ceramic tiles, Miksa Róth-made stained glass, wrought-iron railings and peacock gates - totally a must-see place!
