Posted by Ágnes Taraszovics · Dec 19, 2014

We present a super talented Hungarian girl, Flóra Borsi, whose image you can meet every day on the splash screen of Photoshop CC released in October. She has also been invited to The Bully Project, and many people may meet her “Time Travel” series on Facebook. Oh, and she’s just 21 years old.

If you use Photoshop, and you have met the latest CC edition then sure you have noticed a change. Until the program is loaded, a picture can be found next to the PS label that praises a Hungarian photographer, Flóra Borsi’s talent.

Adobe liked the young girl’s (who exhibited in London, Istanbul and Detroit) pictures so much that they invited Flóra not for only this project, but for further tasks. Her works have been written about on the BBC too.

Answering the question when and how she found her talent, Flóra revealed: she took a proper look at Photoshop at age 11 and keep trying different techniques until 15. She told that has fallen in love with photography because the cultural differences are not manifested in the love of art. It is a universal language.

However Flora has been gaining bigger and bigger awareness before Adobe’s offer, largely thanks to the Time Travel series, that dials back the clock, and which became popular on Facebook in one fell swoop. This project show her in some of the most iconic photos of all time, because in these works she Photoshoped herself next to such celebrities as Marilyn Monroe or Elvis Presley. Her works appeared in BBC’s, Huffington Post’s and Daily Mail’s virtual columns.

Flóra, who learned this profession by herself told: during the projects the biggest challenge is to get the idea. The creative process is easy. She only starts to work if the image she wants to create has been released in her mind. Although it’s hard to believe seeing her pictures, but she doesn’t like to experiment and doesn’t want left to chance anything.

The third major project in Flóra’s life is called 'The Bully Project”. Adobe has recently been cooperating with Lee Hirsch, the American documentary filmmaker, who presented his film entitled “Bully” in 2011 about the exclusion in the country and the bullying among young people.

The verbal terrorism affects lot of kids in the schools, and can also lead to physical abuse. The Bully Project created by Adobe draws attention to this matter. They invited 16 artists (among others Flóra) from all over the world to create a picture, video or sculpture that deals with this topic.

We hope to hear a lot more about Flóra, this extraordinary Hungarian photographer.
