As you may know, the new Blade Runner movie was shot in Hungary last year, and guess what: our capital showed up even in the trailer for some seconds. Can you recognize the building? No more guesses?

Well, then it’s Budapest’s historic Stock Exchange Palace at Szabadság Square that will be the “Vintage Casino” in Blade Runner 2049. The beautiful building was built in 1905, and it was one of the biggest buildings in Europe that time, thanks to the rivalry between Vienna and Budapest. It was home to the stock exchange until 1948, later the State Television operated in it, then finally has been sold in 2009. So that’s it:

The story of the film is the following: (If you have not seen the first part, do it now!)

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what's left of society into chaos. K's discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
