September program guide for men

If pub tour is done, but you still have some days in the city…

… attend these three programs:

Davis Cup Semifinal: Hungary- Russia

No worlds needed to introduce Davis Cup, the premier international team event in men's tennis, the "World Cup of Tennis" with 135 nations participating. Davis cup is contested annually between teams from competing countries in a knock-out format, and Hungarian tennis has good year in 2017: we’re in the semifinals! The next round will be next weekend in front of home crowd, so don’t miss it! 2017 Davis Cup World Group Semifinals: 15-17 September, Kopaszi Dam. Tickets here.

National Gallop

National Gallop is a monumental reinvention of history and tradition. On September 17th and 18th, spacious and awe-inspiring Heroes’ Square will be transformed into a racetrack with 6,200 square meters’ worth of special equine-friendly sand. Young jockeys, modern-day hussars on horseback, tear around the track. 250 horses and riders will compete for the 21.5-million-forint cash prize, a glittering sword, and national glory. Prepare for a particularly exciting event this year, as there will also be mock horseback battles, amazing archers shooting arrows on galloping horses and even race carriage-driving! The carriages that’ll be competing have been created especially for this racetrack. They may have a vintage look but they feature the latest technology inside, so get ready for a rough ride! Imagine Ben Hur in Formula One.

Beer, burger & barbecue festival

Just to make sure you gain back those extra pounds you lost during the sport events: visit beer, burger & barbecue festival, which combines (almost) everything a man (and woman) loves. Say goodbye to summer with the tastiest barbecue meals, the finest hamburgers, and the best craft beers on this pleasant autumn weekend! See you there: 21-24 September, Millenáris Park.
