Budapest at night - as you have never seen before
Posted by Mia Balogh · Jun 5, 2020

The photo provides a unique perspective on Budapest at night.

A lot of fantastic and unique snaps have been taken in Budapest but let us show you something you might have never seen before: this is how our capital looks like from the International Space Station (ISS).

Do you see the dark line running through the city? That is the Danube, and you can see also the bridges on the river. The Pest-side of the city (on the right) has a flatter topography and is more residential than the Buda-side (with the hills).

The photo was taken on 18 March 2020, with a Nikon D5 digital camera with a 200-millimeter lens by a member of the Expedition 62 crew. The picture is provided by the ISS Crew Earth Observation Facility and the Earth Sciences and Remote Sensing Unit, Johnson Space Center.
